- Won $7.2 million judgment for our client, a Fortune 100 Company, in a case involving misrepresentations contained in an opinion letter issued to our client. Recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the ten most important decisions of the year.
- Won dismissal of $300 million libel and defamation suit against our client, a multi-national Internet service provider. Decision affirmed by the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
- Lead trial counsel in three week federal trial resulting in a multi-million dollar victory for our client, a subsidiary of an international water company.
- Won summary judgment awarding $10.0 million to our client in a federal case of first impression concerning the law governing wire transfers of funds.
- Representation of publicly traded software company in multi-million dollar litigation arising from allegations of theft of trade secrets.
- Representation of national music recording company in federal court in case alleging copyright infringement.
- Representation of foreign broadcasting company in connection with copyright infringement case arising from broadcasts of U.S. professional athletic events.
- Won summary judgment dismissing $1.0 million unpaid compensation case against our client.
- Represented national bank in $20.0 million negligent misrepresentation case against independent public auditor. Case arises from audit of borrower’s financial statements which concealed the existence of impaired leases and loans.
- Represented syndicate of banks in $50.0 million misrepresentation case against independent public auditor. Case arises from auditor’s failure to report frauds committed by officers and directors of publicly traded company.
- Represented jet aircraft owner in litigation to revoke acceptance of $24 million corporate jet that suffered two engine failures during separate flights.
- Won multi million dollar construction litigation dispute for our client after a 13-day trial.
- Represented national corporation in consumer protection litigation brought by Attorney General of Massachusetts. All claims dismissed against our client.
- Represented consortium of businesses in litigation alleging violation of statute prohibiting disclosure of data stored in Registry of Motor Vehicles computers.
- Defense of corporate president against allegations involving non-payment of wages. All claims dismissed.
- Defense of bank’s chief executive officer in class action securities litigation brought by former shareholders.
- Represented certified classes of former employees in federal Multi-District Litigation alleging forfeiture of wages in violation of state law.
- Represented multinational corporation in securities litigation alleging misstatements and omissions in bond offering.
- Defense of Boston law firm sued by former employee for sexual harassment and discrimination. All federal claims dismissed. Argued successful appeal before United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
- Defense of employer in discrimination litigation in federal court in New Hampshire. Defense verdict.
- Defense of employer in whistle-blowing cases. All cases settled for nuisance value.
- Successful prosecution and defense of dozens of non-compete, non-solicitation, and trade secret litigation matters.
